What’s New¶
Application Icon¶
The application icon has been slightly reworked. This is a subtle change that does not change the overall look of the icon, but rather makes it more consistent with the colors of the Lions International Brand Guidelines and fixes an issue with the icon being truncated on devices using a circular icon mask such as the Apple Watch or, with Android, the Samsung Galaxy series.

Note
For the record, the previous icon was introduced in version 10.4 when we were kindly asked to remove the well-known Lions logo from the icon to avoid any confusion that the LionsBase mobile application was not an official application of the Lions Clubs International.
Other Changes¶
In addition, a few bugs have been squashed and minor enhancements integrated:
the app would crash when the user tried to open a message from the dashboard. We traced the problem back to a bug in the third-party control we use for the chat messages that only happens when our app is compiled in Release mode. Fortunately, we found a workaround that prevents the wrong behaviour of control and thus prevents the app from crashing;
it happened that the app would crash for some users when they tried to open the Documents. Although we could trace the problem back to a problem with the underlying API, we have added a workaround to prevent the app from crashing if the input is not as expected;
in Dark Theme, the list of clubs would miss the women-only clubs icon although it was present in Light Theme. This has been fixed;
support for Skype has been removed, as the app is no longer available on the Play Store and has been replaced by Microsoft Teams;
Twitter has been completely renamed to “X” in the app, as the company has rebranded itself and the app accordingly;
the list of events now shows a range of dates instead of a single date when the event spans multiple days. This only applies to the short summary on the right side of the screen, not the “big calendar” overlay on the left side where it would likely be too crowded to show a range of dates;
various internal libraries have been upgraded.
