What’s New¶
In the release notes of version 10.5.2, we wrote that the type and category of a social activity were not preset anymore to some defaults to prevent having faulty statistics and we explicitly mentioned that the so-called “Activity impact location” was still preset to “Domestic” as it was a sane default for most activities.
We decided to do this logical choice for the impact location as we have seen that, over the many years, and to a very large extent (around 93-97% of the activities, for all multiple districts), clubs have been using the “Domestic” location. Even if some reporting have been done incorrectly, we are convinced this is still a very good indicator of the reality.
However, due to comments from managers who are convinced that this is bad for statistics at district and multiple district level, this option is no longer predefined. This means that you must now explicitly choose whether the new social activity has a “Domestic” or an “Abroad” impact.
Other Changes¶
In addition, a few bugs have been squashed and minor enhancements integrated:
the ticket of an event is now generated with the correct language you use in the app;
we tentatively added the detection of the Apple Vision Pro but we were not able to even test how the app will behave with the corresponding simulator;
various internal libraries have been upgraded.
