What’s New¶
Date of Foundation of a Club¶
The detail of a club now clearly indicates that the date of foundation of the club is the date considered by the Lions Clubs International as the date of foundation of the club, which is not necessarily the date of foundation in the country where the club is located. The reason for this change is that, from a Lions (Clubs International) perspective, the age of a club is the age of the club as recognized by Lions Clubs International, and not the age of the club as possibly recognized by the country where the club is located.
Other Changes¶
In addition, a few bugs have been squashed and minor enhancements integrated:
when you filter the list of participants, the keyboard will now be hidden automatically when you scroll the list of participants. This is especially useful when you either forgot to tap the “Search” button on the keyboard, or when you clear the filter;
when you filter the list of clubs, the keyboard will now be hidden automatically when you scroll the list of clubs, even without having to tap the “Search” button on the keyboard;
grouping in various lists has been slighly visually improved;
the list of clubs was grouped by first letter of the club name, but that letter was not displayed due to an incorrect definition; this has been fixed;
some labels in French and Polish have been better translated;
detection of the new iPhone 17e, as announced by Apple on March 4th;
various internal libraries have been upgraded.
Note
From a technical standpoint, this version of the LionsBase mobile application is supposed to be compatible with iOS 14 and later and iPadOS 14 and later. However, we only have devices and simulators for iOS/iPadOS 18 and later. Since we cannot test the application on iOS/iPadOS 14, 15, 16 and 17, we cannot guarantee that it will work properly on these versions of iOS and iPadOS and you are advised to upgrade your device to iOS/iPadOS 18 or later if you want to use this version of the LionsBase mobile application. iOS 18 is supported on devices as old as the iPhone 11, from 6 years ago, and iPadOS 18 on devices as old as the ones sold back in 2018.

Social Activities¶
In case a club has social activities, but did not allow the amount of money raised / donated for each social activity to be displayed, the amount of money raised / donated is now displayed as “n/a” instead of being 0 (zero), to make it clear that the amount of money raised / spent is not available, and not that there are no amounts associated.
This applies to statistics as well.
